Ashton to Serve as Hi-Rise CEO Swift to Retire from Foster Wheeler

Richard J. Swift, chairman, president and CEO of Foster Wheeler Corp., Clinton, N.J., has announced he will retire by the end of 2001.

Chris Voell, a former Solid Waste Association of North America staff member, has joined SCS Engineers, Reston, Va., as a senior project professional.

Lockwood, Kessler & Bartlett Inc., Syossett, N.Y., has named Matthew G. Lang marketing manager.

Curtis Davies has joined CB Richard Ellis, Los Angeles, as first vice president and regional director of the company's San Francisco office.

Ferrous Processing & Trading LLC, Detroit, has named Andrew M. Luntz president of the company's Cleveland facility.

Marc Gustafson has resigned as president of Volvo Trucks North America, Greensboro, N.C.

Jim Ashton has agreed to serve as interim CEO of Hi-Rise Recycling Systems Inc., Miami, while the company restructures its finances.

Before joining Hi-Rise, Ashton served as chairman of Poco Graphite Inc., Decatur, Texas, a specialty graphite company. At the same time, he was president of Ashton & Associates, a management consulting business.

Ashton received his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa; his Doctorate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass.; and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School, Boston.
