Extended producer responsibility (EPR) is a form of product stewardship thlegat intends to make manufacturers responsible for the post-consumer recovery and recycling of their products. In other words, it aims to shift the cost of residential recycling from taxpayers to product manufacturers. This concept is supported by some and opposed by others.
