Bristol, VA Holds Open House to Discuss Landfill Odor

The city of Bristol, Virginia held an open house regarding the area's landfill on November 1st. After complaints of bad smells throughout the city, the landfill was closed in September. The open house was held to allow residents time to discuss additional order mitigation plans. One of the largest complaints of residents was that there was not enough communication about the landfill. Officials said to expect multiple more opportunities for residents to share thoughts and beliefs in the coming months.
