California's attorney general's office filed a lawsuit on Monday that alleges retail giant Walmart of improperly sending toxic products and batteries to the landfill.

This is not the first time the state's AG has taken action. Walmart had to pay $25 million as the result of a similar suit that was filed in 2010. The company agreed at that time to stop dumping hazardous products into landfills.

A Walmart spokesperson called the suit "unfounded."
