Portland Parks & Recreation is dedicated to improving the city's green spaces.

The Youth Conservation Crew, a group managed by the organization, comprises of 14-18 year olds that plant native trees and take care of habitats. East Portland has historically lacked adequate greenspace, and these teenagers are working to tend gardens and improve the ecosystems of their communities.
