Despite previous failed attempts to expand the Slate Belt landfill, Waste Management is looking to add more capacity once again.

A series of public meetings to gather feedback and comments has been arranged. WM stated that they had originally planned public sessions in 2020, but COVID stalled efforts.

The estimated 20-year expansion would being $101 million to nearby municipalities and achieve an economic reward of about $78 in the county.
