Operators of a 77-acre landfill in Bordeaux, Tenn. are seeking an approval to expand the facility.
The landfill, which accepts construction and demolition waste, is nearly full after wood, yard waste, metal, brick, roof shingles, concrete and other materials have piled up over the years.
Southern Services, the company who manages the landfill, has plans for a 17-acre expansion. Some residents and government officials have voiced concern about another expansion.
