Keep America Beautiful, Dr Pepper Partner on Park Recycling

Keep America Beautiful (KAB) and Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS) are partnering to increase recycling in parks across the United States.

The Plano, Texas-based Dr Pepper is donating $300,000 to the Stamford, Conn.-based KAB as part of the one-year collaboration to fund the placement of recycling bins in city, regional and state public parks to give visitors greater access to recycling, according to a news release.

The DPS/KAB Public Park Recycling Grant program is open to governments or organizations that help maintain and/or support public state, regional and city parks. Grant applications will be available online through April 26. Interested parties can visit irecycleonthego.wordpress.com to apply.

DPS’ sustainability goals include reducing manufacturing waste, conserving packaging resources and improving efficiency in energy and water use by 2015.
