FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif.– The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) has been recognized with two 2025 National Environmental Achievement Awards (NEAA).
The 2025 NEAA awards are given by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA), a dynamic forum for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and forging new collaborations driving the future of the clean water sector. OC San received recognition for its Connection Newsletter and Employee Development Program, in the categories of Public Information & Education and Workforce Development, respectively. The Connection Newsletter is generated quarterly with intent to keep stakeholders and community members informed on our efforts in protecting public health and the environment. The Employee Development Program was designed to assist OC San employees in enhancing their personal, professional, and organizational skills while optimizing their performance to drive OC San goals and objectives.
“Earning two NACWA Environmental Achievement Awards highlights OC San commitment to make a difference”, said Jennifer Cabral, Director of Communications. “The Connection Newsletter plays a vital role in how we connect with each other and the public, while the OC San Employee Development program empowers employees to drive their own growth, achieve career goals and strengthen OC San by cultivating a skilled and motivated workforce.”
OC San will receive these awards during the NACWA Winter Conference, which will be held in January 2025.
