Charlotte, N.C. – Meridian Waste Acquisitions, LLC (Meridian Waste), an integrated, non-hazardous solid waste services company, is pleased to announce multiple internal staffing promotions and outside hires. These promotions and new hires better position Meridian Waste for continued growth and success by enhancing the management talent within the company.

Ryan Perry, formerly Meridian Waste’s Chief Accounting Officer since 2019, has been promoted to the role of Chief Financial Officer. Perry’s impressive track record of managing the company’s fiscal responsibilities include monthly financial reporting, annual financial audit, annual budgeting, acquisition review & due diligence, and capital deployment. In his new role, Perry will also manage banking and bonding relationships while leading the company’s 32-member accounting team.

Jill Kelledy has transitioned from Senior Director of Financial Operations and has been promoted to Vice President – Financial Shared Services. In this position, Kelledy will focus on corporate-wide treasury services, financial software integration and utilization, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and training. Her commitment to detail and systematic approach to resolving financial challenges makes her keenly adept within her new role.

Additional accounting and finance roles include the hiring of Miles Hathcock as Area Controller – Alabama & Mississippi and Kim Henson as Area Controller – Virginia. Both new employees to the company bring a strong and proven background of accounting expertise while working within the solid waste industry for 10 and 22 years, respectively.

Gentry Shows has been elevated to Area President – Alabama to integrate and manage the Alabama assets acquired as part of the Evergreen Environmental Partners, LLC (EEP) and Arrow Disposal Services, Inc. (ADSI) sale into Meridian Waste’s culture of accountability and success, financial performance standards and customer service excellence. Formerly Government Affairs Director of ADSI, Shows led the impressive growth of ADSI through 41 local government contract awards and service implementations.

For the Mississippi assets acquired from the EEP/ADSI transaction, Cole Crozier has been internally tapped to lead the Mississippi operations as District Manager – Mississippi. His background as General Manager – Greer, SC Hauling has prepared him to assume the 18 MS residential contracts and consolidate operations to enhance financial returns, foster stronger communications and instill greater safety practices among all team members.

With the semi-retirement of Larry Seivers from Area President – Tennessee, Meridian Waste has promoted Matt Lavender to Area President – Tennessee. Lavender has most recently held the position of General Manager – Knoxville Landfills and then in 2023 his role expanded to include the Knoxville hauling company. Seivers will continue to serve in a management capacity; however, financial and operational responsibilities have now transitioned to Lavender who, like Seivers, is a University of Tennessee graduate.

These leadership and managerial changes will not only strengthen our company but will position Meridian Waste for greater growth – both organic and through acquisitions / local government contract awards – in existing and future marketplaces. The company’s most important asset is its people, and through the strategic and forward-thinking promotion and hiring of the best, most competent talent, Meridian Waste continues to position itself as the premier, independent solid waste services provider in the Southeast.
