Iowa County Residents Ask Officials to Step in Amid Trash Dumping Problems

Sofa sets, trash bags and broken plastic bins. Items that belong in a landfill are piling up on county roads all throughout Marion County and residents say they're tired of it.

But what can the county do?

Frances Cassidy has lived on County Road 405 in Marion County for more that 20 years. In all that time there's one issue she just can't seem to understand.

"I don't know why. It looks like they can just put it in the trash," Cassidy said. "Why they put it beside the road, I don't know."
