Michigan Office Solutions is ditching traditional packing peanuts and brown craft paper for a biodegradable option sold by another Michigan company, RNS Packaging.
"Sustainability is no longer viewed as a cost of doing business but a way of doing business," said Ralph Slider, MOS president. "We are happy to be partnering with RNS Packaging to do our part in reducing our current and future ecological footprint."
The nearly 60-year-old MOS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox Co., supplies printers and other office technology to companies. The Grand Rapids-headquartered company ships more than 350 packages daily from its Grand Rapids warehouse, at 2859 Walkent Drive NW.
The company also has offices in Detroit, Novi, Lansing, Saginaw, Alpena, Traverse City, Kalamazoo.
