Vista Begins Construction of Pilot Waste-to-Energy Facility

Vista International Technologies Inc. has begun construction of a pilot waste-to-energy facility.

The project will use Denver-based Vista’s new gasification technology, the MFG-8 Thermal Gasifier, the company said in a news release. The facility will be in the Northeast; Vista didn’t immediately respond to an inquiry about the specific location.

When the project is successfully completed, the second phase will be the installation of a larger, permanent waste-to-energy operation at the host company's site. The project is being funded by the host company, which Vista did not identify.

The company said it has used its gasifier successfully in other installations on three continents.
