In 2019, 42 million visitors descended on the Las Vegas strip. That number plummeted to 19 million people in 2020 due to pandemic closures. Tourism now is rebounding despite ongoing health and safety concerns. As Las Vegas casinos and hotels return to normal visitor levels, waste volumes also are on the rise.
