Del Monte is fighting against the 1.4 billion pounds of global food waste each year. Instead of being thrown in the trash, the small pieces of food that don’t fit into their containers are repackaged and in collaboration with Feeding America they are given to feed people at risk of hunger. To date, Del Monte has donated over 7.7 million pounds of food.

In addition, Del Monte has put climate change on the top of their list through an investment in environmentally friendly packaging. The company recently cut back on plastics by 33 percent.
