Universal Recycling Partners with Organizations for E-Waste Collection

Universal Recycling Technologies LLC (URT) has partnered with several businesses and organizations in Michigan and Indiana to provide free electronics recycling for residents in the states.

The Lansing-based URT said in news releases that it has partnered with 17 businesses in Michigan and with Green Stream, Elkhart, Ind., and Republic Services (formerly known as Green Tech), South Bend, Ind., to offer consumers locations to drop off their e-waste.

Some of the locations feature a self-serve drop-off container. URT also provides a static recycling bin in other locations. URT will process the collected e-waste.

Materials accepted for drop-off include laptops and other computers, televisions, monitors, wires, cables, power supplies, cell phones, keyboards, mice, printers, copiers, home and office phones, VCRs, DVD and CD players, and other consumer electronics.
