Appliance Recycler Recleim Partners with Appliance Maker BSH

Appliance recycler Recleim LLC has agreed to be the recycling service provider for BSH Home Appliances Corp.

Atlanta-based Recleim said it will be the exclusive recycling services provider for the Irvine, Calif.-based BSH’s products at its East Coast and Midwest distribution centers. BSH, the wholly owned subsidiary of Bosch and Siemens Hausgerate GmbH, makes and markets small and major home appliances under the Bosch, Thermador and Gaggenau brands in North America, according to a news release.

Recleim said its technology allows for the recovery of 95 percent of an appliance’s components by weight. Commodities such as plastic, aluminum, copper, steel and pelletized foam then can reused in other products. Recleim’s process also minimizies the release of ozone-depleting substances, such as chlorofluorocarbons.

Recleim recently unveiled its 110,000-sq.-ft. recycling center in Graniteville, S.C. The facility can process more than 60 million pounds of appliances annually.
