National Joint Powers Alliance Adds Waste and Recycling Vendors

The National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA), a government agency committed to providing cooperative solutions assisting governmental, educational, and nonprofit entities, awarded contracts to nine vendors in the waste and recycling space.

The NJPA conducted a national competitive solicitation for solid waste and recycling solutions. According to the NJPA, these contracts streamline the purchasing and service acquisition process, saving entities time and money.

“There is no question that NJPA members will benefit from our new Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Equipment contracts,” NJPA Lead Contract Administrator Andy Campbell said in a statement. “The vendors that were awarded contracts are best-in-class and represent highly desirable brands in the municipal solid waste industry. Through these new awards, NJPA members will enjoy the most extensive and comprehensive selection of products, equipment and services offered through a cooperative contract in the country.”

The contracts were effective as of July 7, 2017, and are available to NJPA members throughout the U.S., and Canada.

The vendors awarded contracts included:

  • Cascade Engineering

  • Petersen Industries

  • Marathon Equipment Co.

  • ReCollect Systems

  • Old Dominion Brush Co.

  • Schaefer Systems International

  • Pac-Mac

  • Wastequip

  • Palfinger Inc.
