Article-Oil, Gas Waste Management Firm Buckhorn Adds Disposal

Oil and gas waste management company Buckhorn Energy Services LLC has acquired water disposal operations in Midland and Odessa, Texas.

The Greenwood Village, Colo.-based Buckhorn said it purchased five operating saltwater disposal wells, two brine stations and two fresh water walls in the Texas counties of Ector, Martin and Ward, according to a news release. Buckhorn did not say what organization the operations were acquired from or the purchase amount.

The move expands Buckhorn’s presence in the Permian Basin. All of the disposal wells have truck offloading and pipeline operations or capabilities. Buckhorn currently operates saltwater disposal facilities and water pipeline facilities in the Bakken area of North Dakota.

"Buckhorn is excited to add this business to our growing saltwater disposal and gathering systems business,” said Gary Ebel, Buckhorn CEO.
