SCS Engineers to Provide Landfill Gas Management Support Services for Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska

SCS Engineers and SCS Field Services have been awarded a contract by the Municipality of Anchorage, Alaska, (MOA) Solid Waste Services Department. SCS will provide landfill gas management support services at the Anchorage regional landfill, as well as three closed municipal landfill sites including Merrill Field, Peters Creek and International Airport Road.

The SCS team will help ensure the health and safety of the public and local environments, as well as continuing compliance with all state and federal regulations. Specific responsibilities include monitoring buildings and perimeter probes, landfill gas analysis, regulatory monitoring, reporting and report support, landfill gas collection and field support and coordination with regulatory agencies.

“Our team has been involved with the Anchorage regional landfill gas collection and control system from its inception,” said Galen Petoyan, senior vice president at SCS Engineers, in a statement. “Our extensive experience at these sites, as well as other landfills across the country, uniquely qualifies us to fulfill this contract.”
