Habitat for Humanity's Holiday Light Recycling Program already witnessing a surge of holiday light drop-offs entering the month of December.

Last year around 120 volunteers helped Habitat for Humanity collect holiday lights. These lights, some broken and others still working, are collected to avoid sending them to landfills.

The Holiday Lights Recycling Program collects about two tons of holiday lights each year. With several drop-off locations, Habitat for Humanity of Wausau has already witnessed a surge in the number of donated lights as we enter the winter holiday season.
