The IESI Bethlehem Landfill in Lower Saucon Township — fast running out of space but unable to secure zoning changes needed to grow — is pursuing a second expansion plan that is smaller in scale.
The landfill has filed an application with the state Department of Environmental Resources to enlarge its waste collection area by 29 acres on land that has the proper zoning.
