Moose Creek Energy L.P. has opened a landfill gas-to-energy plant in Moose Creek, Ontario.
The 4.2 megawatt facility is located at the Moose Creek waste handling facility of Lafleche Environmental Inc., a waste firm serving eastern Ontario, according to a news release. Moose Creek Energy, a partnership between Energy Ottawa Inc. and Integrated Gas Recovery Services Inc., also operate a landfill gas-to-energy facility in Ottawa.
The Moose Creek facility will generate enough energy to power 4,000 homes.
