Article-WastePro to Build CNG Fueling Station with Clean Energy

Waste Pro USA Inc. has contracted with Clean Energy Fuels Corp. to build and operate a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling facility for its waste and recycling trucks in Fort Pierce, Fla.

The Longwood, Fla.-based Waste Pro recently said it will invest $100 million to switch part of its fleet to CNG fuel. The investment includes construction by the Seal Beach, Calif.-based Clean Energy of natural gas fueling facilities in the South, Clean Energy said in a news release.

The new CNG station is projected to open early in the third quarter of this year. In the first phase of its fleet transition, Waste Pro hopes to deploy 150 waste and recycling trucks.
