Waste Management Launches CNG Fleet for Seattle-Area City

Waste Management Inc. has debuted a fleet of 21 compressed natural gas (CNG) waste and recycling trucks for Redmond, Wash., in the Seattle area.

The new fleet will serve Redmond residents and businesses, according to a news release from Houston-based Waste Management as well an e-mail from Robin Freedman, a senior communications manager for the company in Kirkland, Wash.

The new trucks will provide 23-percent fewer greenhouse gas emissions, as well as zero diesel air particulate and other environmental advantages.
