Suburban Disposal Building CNG Waste, Recycling Truck Fueling Station

Article-Suburban Disposal Building CNG Waste, Recycling Truck Fueling Station

Suburban Disposal Services has contracted with Air & Gas Technologies Inc. to build a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at the waste and recycling company’s headquarters in Fairfield, N.J.

The facility will fuel Suburban Disposal’s new fleet of CNG waste and recycling vehicles and support its customers in northern and central New Jersey, Air & Gas said in a news release. The Cliffwood Beach, N.J.-based company specializes in natural gas fueling systems in the region.

Suburban signed Air & Gas to design, build and maintain the new facility.  Air & Gas expects it to be complete by the end of July. The plans allow for growth in truck fueling capacity if needed.

Suburban’s fleet is expected to use about 1.1 million gallons of natural gas annually.

“Our company is committed to acquiring and deploying fleets comprised of CNG-powered trucks,” said Suburban Vice President Kerry Roselle. “Together with many of our refuse and recycling service customers, we are anxious to secure the cost-saving and clean-air benefits offered by natural gas.”
