A woman in Fairport, N.Y. says she experiences a three-week delay in her recycling pickup because of a staffing shortage.

Waste Management, who services the area, wrote a statement to local news media, saying that the industry-wide driver shortage is "now at its highest level in more than a decade."

The company referenced its multiple job opportunities, saying that it has hosted "multiple job fairs at our sites and is offering generous incentives such as sign-on bonuses; referral bonuses; and educational benefits including free tuition programs to employees and their families."
