Meeting Set in Norton on Capping Attleboro Landfill

Proponents of the latest plan to cap the 10-acre privately owned Attleboro landfill on Peckham Street will explain the project and its impacts at a meeting next month.

Robert Cummings, a principal of Engineering & Management Services out of California, said the meeting for residents and officials of Attleboro and Norton will be held Feb. 17 in Norton.

It was originally scheduled for last week, but the date was changed when a number of local officials said they couldn't attend.
