San Francisco Trash Plan Would Ship Garbage To Vacaville Landfill

San Francisco’s trash may turn into a treasure of sorts for Solano County, but not everyone is excited about the new trash in transit plan.

If the plan goes through, more than 1,000 tons of solid waste from San Francisco will arrive in a Vacaville landfill every day.

San Francisco’s trash currently goes to a landfill in Alameda County, but that contract is up soon.
