Wood Recycling Facility Rejected by N.J. County Panel

A proposed wood recycling facility that sparked outrage among residents will not be constructed on Tennent Road in Marlboro.

Members of the Monmouth County Solid Waste Advisory Council (SWAC) voted on March 19 not to move an application that had been filed by Atlantic Tree Realty to the Monmouth County Board of Freeholders for further consideration.

Marlboro residents in attendance at the SWAC meeting applauded when the council made its decision. The meeting was held at the Monmouth County Agricultural Building in Freehold Township.
