At its core, zero waste-to-landfill is exactly what it sounds like: diverting all wastes from landfill disposal. Businesses are getting there by moving up the waste hierarchy: reducing materials consumption & waste; reusing materials; recycling, composting, and using anaerobic digestion; and then, for what’s leftover, recovering energy.
