The Fulton County Department of Solid Waste's new textile recycling program is going well, although it is not a major revenue producer.
The county has placed boxes to collect textile recyclables at various location and transfer stations.
Department Recycling Coordinator Dianne Woske said the county has collected a few hundred dollars in revenue. The collection program also helps sites like the Salvation Army, which sometimes get too many unwanted clothes. Businesses have also been helpful in putting out recyclable boxes, Woske said.
