SWANApalooza Postponed Amid Coronavirus Concerns

The Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) has been closely monitoring and evaluating the spread of coronavirus and the concerns of members and partners.

“The health and safety of attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff must be our top priority,” stated SWANA. “As a result, we will not be holding SWANApalooza on March 23-26 in Atlanta.”

More information about rescheduling the event will be forthcoming.

This decision was made after consulting with SWANA’s officers, the SWANA Georgia chapter leadership, board members, exhibitors, attendees and others.

“They and staff unanimously agree that postponing SWANApalooza is the responsible and prudent decision and is consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and other public health agencies’ recommendations to limit large gatherings,” according to SWANA.
