WasteExpo 2017 started off with a bang. Monday included a large number of education sessions that focused on topics like mixed waste processing, organics, leachate, big data and smart waste, anaerobic digestion, mergers and acquisitions and more. In addition to WasteExpo's education tracks on recycling, landfill, technology, business development, fleet management, collection and other business issues, day one included tracks from the Composting & Organics Recycling Conference and the Food Recovery Forum. Day one also included the fifth annual Waste360 Investor Summit and the first EREF Summit, which focused on landfill leachate. The day concluded with the Welcome Reception at Generations Hall in New Orleans.
