ST. LOUIS, Mo. —Federal Recycling & Waste Solutions, a business specializing in recycling and waste management solutions, is proud to announce national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) Midwest, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

“We are excited for Federal Recycling & Waste Solutions to be recognized as a women-owned business and the opportunities this presents for us,” said Sam Still, President & CEO of Federal Recycling. “This certification will bring Federal Recycling new business and partnerships with market-leading companies who not only need recycling and sustainability solutions but also value working with a diverse business partner.”

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by the WBDC Midwest is a meticulous process including an in-depth review of the business, interview and site inspection. The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women. By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and the continued development of their supplier diversity programs.

“With Federal Recycling’s WBENC certification, we are now certified across our parent company and U.S. business units, as well as received the WEConnect International certification for our European group,” said Claire Newton, President & CEO of Federal International Inc., parent company of Federal Recycling. “We look forward to the potential business development and cross-company collaboration efforts this prestigious recognition can bring to our entire organization.”
