EREF Announces 2018 Fall Classic and Networking Event

The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) announced its 2018 Fall Classic & Networking Event will be held Thursday, October 18, at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Fla. The Fall Classic is a charity event that unites waste industry leaders in support of advancing solid waste research and educational initiatives.

The event will consist of a night of networking and casino games followed by a day of friendly competition on the green. On Wednesday, October 17, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Fall Classic & Networking Event kicks off with the inaugural Welcome Reception & Casino Night, during which guests will be able to show off their card shark skills at tables featuring blackjack, poker and more.

Following breakfast Thursday morning, players will assemble in their golf carts for shotgun starts on the Island and North Courses. The golf tournament will conclude with an awards luncheon on Thursday afternoon.

Players on the first and second place teams will receive crystal commemoratives and a framed team photo. Hole-in-one prizes will be given at all par 3s, including the chance to win $50,000 cash. There will also be other prize-winning opportunities, including a putting contest for a cash prize.

The cost to participate in the tournament is $1,100 per player, $4,400 per foursome. Participation at the Welcome Reception & Casino Night is included in the cost of a player ticket. However, attendees do not need to play in the Fall Classic golf tournament to participate in Casino Night. If an attendee will not be playing golf, they can purchase a welcome reception or guest registration to participate in the Casino Night.
