THE WOODLANDS, Texas- --Encina Development Group (“Encina”), a company that produces circular chemicals from waste plastics, announced the appointment of Ms. Elaine Wong to its board of directors.

“We are delighted to welcome Elaine to the Encina board,” said David Schwedel, Executive Director of Encina. “Elaine’s expertise in private equity investment is a tremendous asset to the board of directors. Her deep experience in strategy formulation, implementation, and business development will be invaluable to Encina’s next phase of business growth.”

“I’m excited to join Encina’s board,” said Elaine Wong. “Encina’s unique waste-plastics-to-circular-chemical technology helps customers advance their sustainability goals and practices. I’m proud to help Encina grow its circular solution while doing good for the environment and the planet.”

Ms. Wong is a co-Founder and Partner of H+ Partners. She has over 20 years of private equity experience. In addition to founding H+ Partners, Ms. Wong also co-founded HAO Capital, a China-focused growth equity fund. As a private equity investor, she has helped build, fund, and take companies public in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Frankfurt, London, and New York.

She is currently the Lead Independent Director for Hyzon Motors, a Board member of Protium Green Solutions, and a member of the Advisory Board for Enapter AG and the World Hydrogen Advisory Board for the Sustainable Energy Council.

Ms. Wong graduated from MIT with a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering and has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Ms. Wong is an active member of her community. She has served on the global MIT Alumni Association Board of Directors and is currently on the MIT Task Force 2021 and Beyond Alumni Advisory Committee.
