American Waste Offers One-Cart Recycling Program to Oklahoma City

Article-American Waste Offers One-Cart Recycling Program to Oklahoma City

American Waste Control Inc. is offering a One Cart Recycling program for its residential waste customers in Jenks, Okla.

The new single-cart program being implemented by the Tulsa, Okla.-based American Waste allows residents to place recyclables loose at the bottom of the same poly-cart as bags of trash, the company said in a news release. The company’s automated recycling equipment, called Mr. Murph, does the separation.

“We see only great things coming from this program,” said Kenneth Burkett, founder and president of American Waste. “Environmentally it’s a win-win for everyone involved because it’s such a simple strategy and yet so effective.”

American Waste Control also owns Tulsa Recycle and Transfer and American Environmental Landfill, and operates Oklahoma’s only licensed hybrid material recovery facility, which is able to process more than 120 tons of recyclables per day.
