Republic Services Named One of 2018 World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere Institute

Republic Services, Inc. announced that it has been named one of the 2018 World’s Most Ethical Companies according to the Ethisphere Institute, an organization that works to define and celebrate corporate ethical standards.

"It is an honor to be named to the World's Most Ethical Companies list again this year," said Don Slager, president and CEO of Republic Services, in a statement. "This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment at every level within our organization to conduct business with integrity and to foster a strong ethical culture while always choosing to do the right thing, for our customers, our people and the environment."

This year, Ethisphere honored 135 companies from 23 countries and across 57 industries. In the Environmental Services category, Republic Services is the only recycling and solid waste services provider honored.

"While the discourse around the world changed profoundly in 2017, a stronger voice emerged. Global corporations operating with a common rule of law are now society's strongest force to improve the human condition," said Timothy Erblich, CEO of Ethisphere, in a statement. "This year we saw companies increasingly finding their voice. The World's Most Ethical Companies in particular continued to show exemplary leadership. I congratulate Republic Services for being recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies."
