The city of Port Angeles, Wash. will be operating its own waste collection services following negotiations to end its contract with Waste Connections.

The city began discussing its contract with the company in Spring 2021. The parties could not come to an agreement on rate increases.

Port Angeles will also take over operations at its regional transfer station.
