Swinging for Research

For those looking to let out their inner Ty Webb, the annual Environmental Research and Education Foundation (EREF) Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13, in Pinehurst, N.C. The tournament raises money for EREF, which in turn funds research into solid waste management issues and awards scholarships to post-graduate students seeking degrees in waste-related fields. 

The format of the tournament will be Captain's Choice. Entries fees are $750 per player and $3,000 per foursome. For more information, visit EREF's website. If you make it to the tournament, be on the lookout for this guy.
