This Sunday, all eyes will be on Dallas as the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Green Bay Packers meet in Super Bowl XLV. And Dallas' stunning Cowboy Stadium certainly warrants the ogling, from it's battleship-sized Jumbotron to its state-of-the-art artificial turf. But what happens when that turf eventually wears out?
If companies like FieldTurf have their way, it might be recycled. Last year, War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark., had the company install new turf. The company took the old field and recycled it, using it to create new FieldTurf products.
FieldTurf fields are now 100% recyclable. When a FieldTurf installation finally comes to the end of its long life, it continues to help our planet. FieldTurf has also launched a “take back” program for both sports fields and landscape applications, whereby FieldTurf will provide customers with the option, in writing, that fields will be recycled at the end of their useful life when replaced with another FieldTurf system.
