Today, the City of Albany, N.Y., is rolling out a new automated recycling pilot program that will service approximately 2,000 homes throughout the city. With this new program, advanced recycling trucks equipped with an arm will lift and empty 64-gallon recycling carts from residential driveways.

The City of Albany announced it is launching a new automated recycling program.
The program begins on Monday, August 1.
According to the city, it will operate advanced recycling trucks that will use an arm to lift and empty 64 gallon recycling carts from driveways.
