Article-CR&R Environmental to Build Anaerobic Digestion Unit in California

CR&R Environmental Services has received a permit to construct an anaerobic digestion (AD) organics waste recycling facility in Perris, Calif.

The Stanton, Calif.-based recycling and waste collection firm will have the largest organics conversion capacity facility in North America when it is completed in 2014, according to a news release from Eisenmann Corp. The Crystal Lake, Ill.-based company is supplying the high-solids AD technology for the facility.

The facility is permitted to process more than 80,000 tons of organic waste per year in phase one, and ultimately can be expanded to more than 300,000 tons.
