Advanced Disposal Opens Georgia Recycling Facility

Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has opened a new recycling facility in Georgia.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-based Advanced Disposal said in a news release the $5 million single-stream facility in Forsyth County near Alpharetta will process between seven and 12 tons of material per hour, making it one of the largest facilities in the region.

The facility currently processes about 100 tons per day, mainly collected from Advanced Disposal’s current contracts with local cities and counties, along with subscription routes.

It will provide recycling service for Forsyth County and the surrounding greater Atlanta area. The operation adds 44 jobs.

The Alpharetta operation is Advanced Disposal’s 10th recycling facility.
