Advanced Disposal Services Inc. has acquired the assets of MOR Recycling and Carting Inc., expanding its operations in South Carolina.

MOR provides commercial waste and recycling services in Lexington and Richland counties, says Advanced Disposal Marketing Manager Katrine Strickland. She says the company can’t reveal the purchase price, MOR revenue or number of employees.

“Advanced Disposal is looking to grow our operations in the Columbia marketplace, and MOR Recycling and Carting provided us with the opportunity to strengthen the density and efficiencies of our commercial collection operations,” said Advanced Disposal Regional Vice President Charlie Gray, in a news release.  “We look forward to providing comprehensive waste and recycling solutions to the new customers who our team will now service.”

Advanced Disposal said many employees of MOR, which began operations in 2005, will join the company’s Columbia team upon completion of Advanced Disposal’s hiring requirements.
