L.A. Rolls Out New Residential, Commercial Recycling Program

Los Angeles is launching a new residential recycling program called RecycLA today, which has a goal of bringing recycling services to more residential and commercial buildings in the city. In addition to providing services to more businesses and residents, the program will help reduce truck trips and improve air quality and wear and tear on local streets.

The city will introduce RecycLA, a new recycling program, Monday.

The goal is to bring recycling services to more residential and commercial buildings in L.A. The city estimates that only one in five large apartment and commercial properties currently have access to recycling.

Heather Repenning, vice president of L.A.'s Board of Public Works, says the program has other benefits.
