Chelmsford, Mass., is the latest city to form a partnership with Simple Recycling to offer free curbside collection services for textiles and other household items. Olmsted Falls, Ohio, and Rocky River, Ohio, also offer curbside collection services for textiles via partnerships with Simple Recycling.
Residences will receive two pink plastic bags to start, and for each bag placed at the curb, Simple Recycling will collect and leave a new bag.

Maybe you've been meaning to round up and donate all those old, excess clothes you or your kids don't wear anymore, but haven't had the time. Or perhaps you cringe when you throw out worn-out socks and ripped T-shirts, wishing there was another option besides the trash can.
The town is now providing a convenient, curbside pickup option for unwanted textiles and other household items thanks to a new partnership with Simple Recycling.
Coinciding with town recycling pickup schedules, the company will come and pick up these items for free, said Recycling & Solid Waste Coordinator Nick Parlee. Pink plastic bags, which designate the items to be collected, have been mailed out to all residents who receive curbside trash and recycling pickup from the town, he said.
