Caesar Joins WCA Waste as CEO

William Caesar has joined WCA Waste Corp. as its new CEO.

Caesar, former president of Waste Management Inc.’s recycling and organics operations, left the company earlier this year because of its reorganization, that firm said previously. Both WCA Waste and Waste Management are based in Houston.

Since 2012, Caesar has been president of WM Recycle America LLC and WM Organic Growth Inc. He joined Waste Management in 2010. Prior to that, he was a principal of McKinsey & Co., a consulting firm on matters including waste management, according to a WCA news release.

Caesar holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University, a master's in business administration from Duke University and a master’s from Georgetown University.

"We are very pleased to have Bill on board as the company's CEO,” said Paul Mitchener, WCA chairman and a managing director with Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, WCA’s parent firm. “The WCA board undertook an extensive search process targeting experienced candidates who think strategically, had a proven track record in executing strategic initiatives and operational improvements, and understand the changing dynamics of the waste industry. Bill possesses all of those skills, and we are confident he will provide the leadership that inspires the WCA team to achieve performance excellence and produce strong results."

Caesar said, "I am excited to join and lead the WCA team as CEO and to work closely with its management team and equity sponsor on executing a successful long-term growth strategy and building WCA into a leading non-hazardous waste services company.”
