EIA Women’s Council Accepting Scholarship Applications

The Environmental Industry Associations (EIA) Women’s Council is accepting applications for its 2011 scholarship awards. The council will be awarding three $5,000 scholarships next year.

To be eligible for a scholarship, an applicant must be employed by a member of either the National Solid Waste Management Association (NSWMA) or the Waste Technology Equipment Association (WASTEC) or be a dependent of a member employee. The council also will evaluate the applicants’ interest in promoting the professional advancement of women in the environmental services industry, as well as the candidates’ scholastic and community service records.
